"Less Dust - More Chips"

Our new PBLT & PBHT Plus formulations have been designed to produce more chips and less dust. This has been accomplished by reducing the "cell size" of both products which allows more cutting and less pulverizing during the machining process.

Tight cell optimization has also greatly improved priming and finishing properties. Our new Precision Board Plus formulations are composed from special eco-friendly "green" urethane components. With our new formulations, we have achieved a Carbon Balance Foot Print of 3 to 1 and a "Rapidly Renewable Green Resource Content" of 18.9%. Coastal will continue its core belief of innovating materials that move us into higher Green ratings and expanded categories.

We also have added an anti-static component to keep airborne dust to a minimum.

Precision Board^™ HDU is a rigid, closed cell, high density urethane material.  It can be sandblasted, routed, carved, sanded, or machined.  It will not crack, twist or curl after long exterior exposure, making it the ideal replacement for wood signs.

Complete Train on Trestle

The Moose Mountain train was manufactured by Sawatzky’s Imagination Corporation using Precision Board Plus PBLT-30 extensively throughout its 24’ length.  It was built for Moose Mountain Adventure Golf and sits on the 3rd floor in The Mall of America, Minnesota USA.



Dan Sawatzky is best described as a creative force in the sign industry.  He and his wife Janis are owners of Sawatzky’s Imagination Corporation – a small family company that specializes in the design and creation of dimensional theme signs and environments.  They tackle projects of any size from small signs to entire theme parks.  Their work has garnered numerous international awards and Dan’s articles appear frequently in the sign trade publications.   Dan and his crew also host Sign Magic Workshops in their studio a number of times each year with attendees coming from around the world.  “The Sawatzky crew use PBLT-30 and PBLT-40 Precision Board exclusively in their shop to fashion many of their creations.  This medium has proved to be durable and allows unlimited creativity.”   -Dan Sawatzky – Sawatzky Imagination Corporation – www.imaginationcorporation.ca
